Job Duties:
Under direction of supervisor, operate tractors and farm equipment to till soil, mow grass, cut brush, prepare planting areas, plant transplants and seeds, spray crops (onions and salad greens). Use tractors and trucks on farm to move equipment and supplies including irrigation equipment, fertilizer, and other supplies. Set up and operate irrigation equipment. Control weeds mechanically and with herbicides. Harvest and take crops to storage or packing area. Grade and pack crops as needed. Basic English is required because of safety concerns. Bajo supervision del mayordomo, va a usar tractores y equipos para harar, cortar cesped y monte, preparar areas de sembrar, sembrar semillas y plantas. Usar tractores y camiones para mover equipos y materias primas incluyendo equipos de riego, abono, y otras cosas. Armar y operar sistemas de riego. Controlar malesa con hierbacidas y mechanicamente. Cosechar y dejar la cosecha en la empacadora o bodega. Empacar productos como necesario. Ingles basico es un requisito por seguridad. Seis meses de experiencia en estas capacidades es un requisito.
