Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Work will be performed in shifts (Monday-Friday 10:00pm to 12:00pm, 5:00am to 12:00pm, and 10:00pm to 5:00am), with one hour, unpaid, lunch. Optional additional hours as business demands. Operate trucks to haul sugarcane from farm to mill. Inspect cargo to ensure it is properly loaded and/or secured. Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid, performing minor repairs, or washing trucks. Follow safety procedures for vehicle operation. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Requires a commercial drivers license. Repair and maintain vehicles, implements, mechanical equipment, tires and trucks. Work tools, equipment and supplies are employer provided at no cost to worker. Work is done in all kinds of weather from extreme heat to extreme cold. Possibility of work breakdown will not reduce the workers guarantee over the life of the contract.
