Job Duties:

I have brood cows and stocker cattle. I would like someone to help feed, vaccinate, and doctor the cattle. I also have some sheep and need assistance worming them and trimming their feet. I need someone to help pick up limbs and trash as needed. Help maintaining fences is a must. I will need help planting, spraying, and fertilizing. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; construct facilities, haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; identify plants, crops, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, knives, wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools, work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, GPS guidance systems, forklift, manure spreading equipment, pickups, cars, etc, self-propelled machinery, silage choppers, sprayers, spreaders, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle, corn, sheep, silage. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
