Job Duties:

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, and Nursery: Measure and set flags, record data; Harvest; Record information about crops such as pesticide use, yields, or costs; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops including preparing, sorting, cleaning, packaging, scanning, labeling seed; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as planter, sprayer, combine, thresher, forklift to spray and harvest crops such as soybeans, corn; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Maintain inventory, take field notes, sort envelopes; Attach implements using hand tools; Position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers; Communicate and work with others; Given the demanding nature of farm work, worker must be physically fit and able to climb, crouch, lift and carry, and exert physical energy in extreme weather conditions to ensure that manual tasks which require physical exertion can be performed safely and effectively; Must be able to speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 50 lbs.
