Job Duties:

Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to work ground, prepare and maintain land, plant, and irrigate crops. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements, skid steer, excavator, ranger/UTV, log splitter, boat (paddle), weed eater, blower, and farm vehicles. Job also requires participating in irrigation activities including laying pipe, walking length of irrigation pipe to puncture it at set intervals, setting up and operating irrigation equipment, clearing and maintaining irrigation ditches, operating well motors, draining excess water from fields, monitoring fields to check on and maintain adequate water supply to crops; connecting hydrants; installing and removing boards in risers of water control. Manual duties include but are not limited to loading seed into planters; changing implements on tractors and other farm equipment; rouging fields and using hand tools to remove undesirable plant varieties, trash, and other objects from fields; stacking seed bags, shoveling dirt; performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, buildings, and all farm equipment; pressure washing equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; and regularly servicing equipment. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements:

Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, or repetitive movements.
