Job Duties:

We are a grain farm in east central Indiana and farm a total of 5100 acres. Seasonal work is needed in planting, fertilizing, pesticide applications, harvesting and helping with grain facility. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach implements such as discs and implements to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, operate other farm equipment, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth and diseases using hand sprayers, load crops and unload crops, complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Use mower to keep field borders mowed and the farmyards with lawnmower. Employees will need to operate farm trucks to haul grain from fields to storage. Per state regulations, employer is exempt from a commercial CDL requirement for fam trucking. No commercial trucking is required. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
