Job Duties:

On farms, the farm workers will be expected to drive machinery, including tractors and skid steers to cut, harvest and store big bales of hay. They will assist in basic maintenance of same equipment, including lubricating, power washing and vacuuming. In addition, there will be general maintenance of the hayfields, including spraying weeds, applying fertilizer and cleaning out brush from the edge of the fields. In the greenhouse and high tunnel, the workers will be expected to cultivate, plant, transplant, fertilize, irrigate, remove noxious weeds, and harvest garden produce. The workers may also operate a weed eater and lawn mower around farm buildings and keep debris and trash picked up.

Special Requirements:

The training for each worker will be performed on our farm. They will be working and training with me, the owner for one month. At the end of this probationary period, we will decide if the workers are capable of continuing this type of work.
