Job Duties:

Job duties will include: Operating a bobcat, skidsteer, and forklift to move potatoes Operating conveyers Operating a piler to load potatoes on to trucks Operating a flume to move potatoes Operating a potato planter Operating a tractor Performing field tillage work, including hilling and diking Conducting quality control on potatoes General site clean up, including shoveling, sweeping and pressure washing Repairing and maintaining equipment Participating in safety and orientation trainings as necessary Performing general farm duties as necessary All tools will be provided at no cost

Special Requirements:

Minimum 3 months experience performing maintenance on potato planters, operating late model tractors, operating and performing maintenance on potato planting equipment. Repetitive movements, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive walking, standing, bending and stooping will be required. Work may be required outdoors when temperatures can vary from very hot to very cold. Due to the complexity of the weather and planting conditions, workers may be requested to work longer than 8 hours per day, as well as Saturdays, Sundays, and/or Federal holidays. This is dependent on field conditions, potato seed availability, and potato growing conditions, and field conditions during harvest. Therefore, hours above 40 hours per week may be offered, but not guaranteed, and are voluntary.
