- Job Duties:
- Crops: Organic specialty crops. Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest organic specialty crops. Workers will be harvesting tomatoes, squash, peppers & cucumbers. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops. The employer attests that any thinning, hoeing, weeding, or hand-weeding work will be performed in compliance with 8 Cal. Code Regulations Section 3437, 3456(b-c). Any hand-held tool used for this work will have a handle of four (4) feet or more in length. Field harvesting and packing organic specialty crops into boxes and loading into trucks.
