Job Duties:

This position will primarily include operating and installing irrigation systems for a row crop farm which may include wheat, sweet corn seed, silage corn, grains and onions. Duties will include install various types of irrigation systems, maintain those irrigation systems, routinely assure that systems are operating correctly, tracking water needs for various crops and scheduling water applications. Will also perform other general irrigation duties and general farm labor. The position will also operate tractors and other agriculture equipment and vehicles when needed. At least three months of agricultural equipment operation and repair and maintenance of row crop irrigation systems is required. May assist in various harvest activities for row crops such as operating and moving harvest equipment and off-loading crops. Workers with a valid driver’s license may drive vehicles to transport crop, supplies, equipment, and workers.
