Job Duties:

Field Workers: Strawberry to perform the following duties: Field worker to harvest strawberry. Strawberries Workers will perform duties associated with and directly related to strawberry harvest work, including but not limited to picking and packing in the field. Pick strawberries growing in the field and place in a picking box. Distinguish quality and ripeness is required during picking and place in tray/packing containers in the field. When the box is filled, it is set on the strawberry machine in front of them. They Retrieve an empty box from the machine and return to the spot in the row where they left off and Resume picking berries. Stacker will stack boxes/crates on pallets, transfer strawberry boxes/craps from HP bank to inspection table, prepare empty harvest boxes for harvesters by placing empty baskets, stamp grower seal on all harvested boxes prior to transporting into the cooler and performs all other duties associated to strawberry crew. Workers may occasionally and/or sporadically perform duties associated with and directly related to the primary duties. Work will include but not limited to, weeding, thinning strawberry plants, workers will also be involved in bed set up and planting. The employer attests that any thinning, hoeing, weeding, or hand-weeding work will be performed in compliance with 8 Cal. Code Regulations Section 3437, 3456(b-c).

Special Requirements:

Workers must have at least 3 month experience in strawberry crop. Work requires walking, bending and repetitive wrist movement. Worker must be able to lift 50lbs. The weather is moderate to cold. All other training will be provided in some instances. In this training workers will be shown how to identify ripened strawberries and company packaging requirements. All tools necessary for picking and performing duties will be provided.

Additional Wage Information:

BOX; $5.85/hour + $1.70 per box (box dimensions:(20.0x15.8x3.7). The estimated hourly wage equivalent is $20-$25/hour, based on workers historically harvesting 8-11 boxes per hour. This is an estimate only, the AEWR is guaranteed.
