- Job Duties:
- Custom Combine Operators: Inspect field to identify harvesting conditions, to locate electrical lines and obstacles, and to perform adjustments. Adjust height, speed and other functions of harvesters for maximum operations and ensuring safety. Harvest sweet peas, sweet corn, and lima beans using specialized machinery or other farm equipment according to soil conditions and supervisor's instructions. May drive custom combine harvester from site to site up to a distance of 30 miles. Be responsible for maintenance and repair of the combine harvester including performing inspection of the harvesters before and after each shift, verify oil, mobile pieces, and others. Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs of the harvester. Type of machinery used: specialized combine harvester. May also require forklift operation to load and unload harvested crops.

- Requirements: 6 months prior experience; Saturday & Sunday work required, when necessary; 40 hrs/wk (Mon - Fri: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm) at no less than hourly rate mentioned; OT hrs vary at straight time per hour; 6 months of experience operating large farm machinery; Demonstrable ability to operate and drive highly specialized combine harvesters; Ability to understand operation and secure handling of complicated hydraulic and electrical systems; Good health and able to understand/follow supervisor's instructions.
