Job Duties:

Workers will clean yard/fields of cotton debris and assist in aspects of the cotton ginning process. EMPLOYEES WILL HARVEST, PICK, PLANT, PACK ON FIELD SITE, PRUNE, FERTILIZE, COUNT, LOAD AND UNLOAD CABBAGE, BELL PEPPERS, HOT PEPPERS, SQUASH, CUCUMBERS, AND TOBACCO. They will pull weed, rake, lay pipe, clean areas around the farms and buildings. Other duties my include field maintenance, camp sanitation, loading and unloading, clearing plastics from fields. They will assist in the cleaning of cotton fields in preparation for the next crop to plant following the cotton harvest. This work will all be done under extreme weather conditions. Heavy lifting, bending and stooping will be involved on a daily basis.

Special Requirements:

52LB LIFTING TRAINING WITH EMPLOYER HEAVY BENDING AND STOOPING REPETITIVE MOVEMENTS 2 DAY TRAINING WITH EMPLOYER. The training period for all crop activities is 2 days starting with the first day of employment to acclimate the worker to the physical demands of farm work and to familiarize workers with the job specifications and to demonstrate proper harvest methods and other crop specific issues.
