- Job Duties:
- General worker for beans, cattle, hay, milo, pastures, ryegrass , wheat and bins. Work includes operating farm equip, tractor driving, field prep, water maint, fertilize, plant and harvest of crops, prepare winter pastures, manual shovel work and hoeing of weeds, spot spray and gen farm labor. May deliver crops to coolers or market. Help repair and maintain bins, buildings, cattle, corrals, equip (and change oil, filters and gas), farm, fences, field, levees, pastures, ponds, properties, roads, shed, shop and water troughs. Load and unload, pickup/deliver as required. May deliver crop to bins/market. Help maintain headlands and grounds, keeping neat and clean. Manually clean and repair fence, hauling and feeding, hay, assist in calving, clean stalls, water and feed, assist with gates, count heads, and brand. Haul to bins for drying, clean, shovel and level bins. Worker must be able to lift/carry 70 lbs. M-F, some Sat/Sun, work in excess of 40 hours may vary. Employees may be compensated above the stated hourly wage, this decision to pay above the prevailing hourly wage will be made by the employer, basing this decision on factors that include the individual recipient's performance/work history. Allergies to ragweed/goldenrod/insect spray/related chemicals/pesticides, etc. may affect workers’ ability to perform the job. Employer may require post hire/random/upon suspicion/or post-accident drug testing, all at no cost to employee. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate term from employment. Job includes stooping, lifting/working outside in inclement weather. Must have 3 mo exp in similar position.
