- Job Duties:
- Workers will perform manual labor to plant, cultivate, and harvest nursery trees, shrubs, flowers, and plants. Duties include preparing soil, planting seedlings and cuttings by hand, watering, weeding, thinning, pruning, shearing, and applying fertilizer or pesticides. Workers will also load, unload, tag, and label plants for shipment or sale, move containerized plants within the nursery, and clean work areas, tools, and equipment. Work will be performed outdoors and in greenhouses in all weather conditions. Workers may use hand tools such as shovels, hoes, pruners, knives, and wheelbarrows. No landscaping installation, maintenance, or construction work will be performed under this job order.
