Job Duties:
Temporary, seasonal workers needed for sugarcane farm to plant and harvest sugarcane; perform shovel and drainage work; drive tractors; minor maintenance and operation of farm equipment; shop maintenance; pull weeds; spray and fertilize fields; keep worksite and housing areas clean and neat. Job involves repetitive movements, extensive walking, pushing or pulling, sitting; frequent stooping or bending over; exposure to extreme temperatures. Must be able to lift/carry sufficient weight (approximately 50 pounds) to move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. The Employer will rely on workers own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification. Upon hire, random, and/or post-accident drug testing performed (paid for by Employer). Work schedule includes one unpaid lunch hour. Se necesitan trabajadores temporales de temporada para una finca de caña de azúcar para plantar y cosechar caña de azúcar; realizar trabajos de pala y drenaje; conducir tractores; realizar mantenimiento y operación menor de equipo agrícola; mantenimiento del taller; arrancar malezas; rociar y fertilizar los campos; mantener el lugar de trabajo y las áreas de vivienda limpias y ordenadas. El trabajo implica movimientos repetitivos, caminar mucho, empujar o jalar, estar sentado; agacharse o inclinarse con frecuencia; exposición a temperaturas extremas. Debe ser capaz de levantar/cargar suficiente peso (aproximadamente 50 libras) para mover el equipo y el material necesario para completar las tareas asignadas. El Empleador se basará en las propias representaciones de los trabajadores y en las observaciones de los trabajadores para evaluar si los trabajadores cumplen con esta calificación. Al momento de la contratación, se realizan pruebas de drogas aleatorias y/o posteriores a un accidente (pagadas por el Empleador). El horario de trabajo incluye una hora de almuerzo no remunerada.
