Job Duties:

Job duties include operating equipment to harvest and haul sugarcane in connection with the harvesting of a perishable crop; perform manual labor to assist in harvesting/unloading sugarcane; repair/maintain farm vehicles, implements, mechanical equipment and trucks; 2 months previous experience of operating sugarcane harvest equipment required. Job involves extensive sitting, exposure to extreme temperatures, repetitive movements, and frequent stooping. Worker must be able to lift/carry sufficient weight (approximately 50 pounds) to move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks.  The Employer will rely on workers own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification. Travel is required to and from field locations; transportation is provided; drug screening may be required upon hire and randomly (paid for by employer). Bonus may be paid at the end of contract at the discretion of the employer. Base hours offered is 40 hours; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10- 40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience. Daily schedule includes one unpaid lunch hour. Se requiere viajar hacia y desde lugares de campo; se proporciona transporte; Es posible que se requiera detección de drogas al momento del alquiler y de forma aleatoria (pagada por el empleador). La bonificación podrá pagarse al final del contrato a discreción del empleador. Las horas base ofrecidas son 40 horas; las horas extras generalmente se ofrecen durante la temporada abundante y pueden incluir entre 10 y 40 horas adicionales de trabajo extra dependiendo de la naturaleza de la temporada; se puede pagar un salario más alto en función de la experiencia. El horario diario incluye una hora de almuerzo no remunerada.
