- Job Duties:
- Job duties include operating equipment to harvest and haul sugarcane in connection with the harvesting of a perishable crop; perform manual labor to assist in harvesting/unloading sugarcane; repair/maintain farm vehicles, implements, mechanical equipment; 3 months previous experience required in operating sugarcane harvest equipment. Job involves extensive sitting, exposure to extreme temperatures, repetitive movements, and frequent stooping. Must be able to lift/carry sufficient weight (approximately 50 pounds) to move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. The Employer will rely on workers own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification. Travel may be required to and from field locations; transportation is provided; drug screening may be required upon hire and randomly (paid for by employer). Bonus may be paid at the end of contract at the discretion of the employer. Base hours offered is 49 hours; additional hours are usually offered during a plentiful season and may include 10-40 additional hours of work depending on the nature of the season. El horario base ofrecido es de 49 horas; Generalmente se ofrecen horas adicionales durante una temporada abundante y pueden incluir de 10 a 40 horas adicionales de trabajo dependiendo de la naturaleza de la temporada.
