Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Deliver feed to cattle such as hay, silage, cubes, mixed feed to supplement diet; Operate, repair irrigation; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Administer medications, vaccinations, etc. as appropriate; Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals; Inspect, maintain, prepare, and repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Load commodities, inputs, or livestock and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities; Trap pests; Haul and spread fertilizer and other materials to condition soil; Attach equipment using hand tools; Guide products onto conveyers to regulate flow; Move livestock from one location to another; Clean water tanks, pens. Must speak and understand English.

- Special Requirements:
- Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
