Crops: Arugula, Cabbage, kale, collards, Cucumbers, Field crops, Greens, Kale, Lettuce, Melons, Mixed lettuces, Onions, Romaine lettuce, Spring onions, Squashes, Turnips, Zucchini, Hard squashes, Broccoli, Spinach, Brussels sprouts, Cabbages, Cantaloupes, Cilantro, Collards, Oregano, Parsley, Romaine hearts, Sweet corn, Watermelons Engage in all aspects of machine harvesting and the preparation of shipments of leafy green crops such as spinach and cilantro. These crops are picked by hand from a harvester conveyor belt and loaded into cartons/RPCs with weights ranging from 20-30 lbs. Once produce is loaded into sacks/bins/cartons/RPCs, all crops are loaded onto a trailer. Once produce is unloaded, some will be loaded onto trucks and some will be washed and repacked then loaded onto trucks. Engage in all aspects of the hand harvest and preparation of shipments of produce such as lettuce, cabbage and broccoli. These crops are cut by hand and typically placed in cartons/RPCs with weights ranging from 20-30lbs. Once produce is loaded into sacks/bins/cartons/RPCs, all crops are loaded onto a trailer. Engage in all aspects of the hand harvest and preparation of shipments of produce such as squash and melons. These crops are cut by hand and typically placed in cartons/RPCs with weights ranging from 20-50lbs. Once produce is loaded into sacks/bins/cartons/RPCs, all crops are loaded onto a trailer. September- April: sow seed or plant seeding, weed, harvest & load leafy greens such as spinach and cabbage. September-April: sow seed or plant seeding, weed, harvest & load leafy greens, brassica, hard squash and onions. February-July: sow seed or plant seeding, weed, harvest & load squashes, cucumbers, and melons. Voluntary Transportation provided to jobsite from central location. Workers who possess a valid driver’s license and meet all applicable legal requirements, including holding a doctor’s certificate as required by 29 CFR § 500.105, may be asked to drive vehicles for transporting workers, goods, or commodities on company business. This task is voluntary, compensable, and not a mandatory job duty. Workers without a valid driver’s license or doctor’s certificate will still be fully eligible for employment and are not disqualified from any other job responsibilities outlined in this application. The employer can and will make alternative arrangements for the transportation of workers should the need arise.
