- Job Duties:
- We need seasonal employees to help with our crop production season starting with spring planting and fall harvesting of corn, cotton, and peanuts. Our season begins approximately April and ends approximately December. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, planters, sprayers, irrigation equipment, operate other farm equipment, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, irrigate soil, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps, operate equipment to harvest crops, drive pickup trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools harvest agricultural products, operate farming equipment, prepare land for agricultural use. May be asked to keep equipment in good condition, i.e. removal of dust and residue from harvesting corn, cotton, and peanuts, using high pressure water hoses. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
