Job Duties:

We are a cotton farm. Additional help is needed in our operation during cotton harvest. We need help to run the John Deere harvesting machines, staging the product to be transported to the cotton gin, cleaning and servicing the machines and other equipment, and other related needs. We also need to prepare the land after harvest for next season by planting a cover crop timely. This involves reshaping the land and planting a wheat crop for cover. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements, clean work areas, direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting, inform farm managers of plants or crops progress, load and unload materials and commodities, maintain inventory, mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery, operate self propelled machinery, record information about crops, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, cotton stripper/picker, dirt moving equipment, forklift, pickups, cars, etc., planters, self-propelled machinery, tillage equipment, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cotton, wheat. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
