Job Duties:

Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate, maintain, or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as John Deere tractors, combines, planters, sprayers, harvesters, and irrigation equipment. Maintain farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, planters, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Tow harvesting equipment to the field to harvest crops. Be able to operate potato planter, sprayer, harvester, row crow equipment as necessary. Potato crops. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools or farm workers. Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments, as necessary. Clean and lubricate parts. Mechanical duties as needed. Farming with: Potato

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 12 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Must have experience with potato farming. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles.
