- Job Duties:
- Job duties include crawfishing in boats, catching crawfish, performing crawfishing duties in fields; manually cutting up fish bait, bait/check traps, grade/wash crawfish for shipment; make repairs to traps as needed; tractor/equipment/truck driving; field prep.; water maintenance; fertilize/plant/harvest crops; manual shovel work; hoe weeds; spot spray; repair/maintain bins, equip., farm and fences; maintain field levees, roads and shop; load/unload trucks; all tools furnished. Job involves frequent stooping and exposure to extreme temps. Must be able to lift/carry sufficient weight (approximately 70 pounds) to move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. The Employer will rely on workers own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification. Random drug screening upon hire (paid for by Employer); travel to various worksites required; minimum three months experience in similar occupation. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience. Daily work schedule includes 1 unpaid lunch hour.
