- Duties include herding and handling cattle for medical treatment and transport; administering vaccinations; performing castration and branding for identification and herd management; weighing cattle on scales; catching, loading, and unloading livestock into trucks or enclosures; providing feed during winter months and distributing mineral and salt supplements; monitoring livestock health; and repairing or maintaining fences and related equipment as necessary to ensure safe and efficient cattle operations.
