- Job Duties:
- Job duties include but are not limited to: Feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, weighing, catching, and loading animals. Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries. Assisting in birthing, administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides. Maintaining winter animal housing areas; using diggers, shovels and other equipment needed. Ongoing maintenance includes cleaning, maintaining and repair of equipment and fences, various workshop tasks as well as maintenance of grain bins and general buildings Use of various farm and cattle specific equipment. Install, maintain and repair electric fences Maintaining records, as required by relevant various entities, clients and inhouse management Receive and place stocker cattle on corn stalks for grazing. Pull cattle off stalks (prior to planting). Sell cattle, move cattle with stock trailer.
