 - Job Duties:
 - We run stocker calves on wheat pasture.  These animals usually arrive at the farm sometime in November, and they leave the farm in March. The animals generally weigh 400-500 pounds when they arrive and 750 -850 pounds when they leave. We fatten the livestock on wheat pastures and only do this once per year.  We do not have animals on the farm the rest of the year.  Job duties will include: drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals, examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain, feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies, herd livestock to pastures for grazing or to scales, trucks, or other enclosures, inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences, mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions, shift animals between grazing areas to ensure that they have sufficient access to food, care for animals, clean equipment or facilities.  Building and/or removing temporary electric fences. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion.  Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
