Job Duties:
Workers will perform a variety of duties related to greenhouse work, winter livestock work, and general winter farm tasks. We need workers to help with winter greenhouse prep so that the plants are ready for the spring. This includes tasks such as planting, watering, and general plant care. Winter livestock work includes assisting with winter calving, caring for the livestock and maintaining barns and livestock areas. Regarding the seasonality of the duties associated with livestock, we need assistance in the months of December to March as that is when peak workload occurs due to extreme cold, winter weather. We need workers to move snow, break ice, thaw lines, replace bedding, and feed cattle in these months. The general winter work includes snow/ice removal, assisting with fencing repairs to contain livestock, equipment upkeep, etc. These tasks may include needing to operate tractors, skid steers, and other farm equipment to assist with feeding and caring for livestock.

Special Requirements:
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain a Class D operator's license with the Farm "F" endorsement.
