- Job Duties:
- At Cindy's Red Wagon we grow vegetables, herbs, apples, rhubarb, pumpkins and flowers and send them to a local market. The following vegetables are raised: Vandalia onions, sweet onions, radishes, sweet potatoes, Russet potatoes, several varieties of peppers and tomatoes, cucumbers, dill, herbs, and zucchini squash. Flowers, and pumpkins. Plant seeds and plant seedlings. Fertilize and mulch soil. Water the plants. Weed the garden plots. Harvest, clean and pack the vegetables and fruits. Spray the apple trees with natural sprays for scab and insects. Prune the trees and dispose of unwanted branches and leaves. Clean the garden plots at end of season. Dry fruit and vegetable seeds and prepare for storage after drying process for the next season. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at their previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.

- Special Requirements:
- Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling and frequent stooping. Employer will conduct post-hire random drug tests to enforce a drug free workplace at no cost to the employee. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee. Employer will not employ anyone with a violent/theft criminal background. Require a regular driver's license and 3 months experience.
