Job Duties:

Break ice in water troughs so cattle can drink, operate tank heaters; provide bedding for cattle to lay on, replace bedding as necessary to avoid contamination and disease, protect cattle from winter elements such as sleet, snow, ice, freezing temperatures; administering medication, processing, feeding, vaccinating livestock to strengthen immune system during extreme weather and calving; monitor cows multiple times daily during calving for injury and sickness; record number and weight of calves; provide mineral, provide feed to supplement diet during extremely cold weather; monitor animal health daily; monitor calf health multiple times daily; load cattle out and sell big cattle; speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
