Job Duties:

Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies. Reading ration sheets. Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions. Fill feed troughs with feed and water for livestock. Salt and mineral cattle as needed. Maintain feeding and cost records. Keep feeding area free of debris and manure. Maintain heated watering system. Remove ice formed in water. Maintain buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Maintain equipment and machinery related to livestock duties. Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps. Move equipment or livestock from one location to another, manually or using trucks or carts. Herd livestock to scales, trucks, or other enclosures. Examine animals to detect illness, injury or other problems. Provide medical treatment, such as administering medications and vaccinations, or arrange for veterinarians to provide more extensive treatment. Assist cows with calving as needed. Operate feed truck, feed wagon, loader tractor, pay-loader, skid steer, and box scrapper. Operate snow removal equipment as needed in order to operate feed wagons. Drive to town to pickup cattle supplies.

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion. Workers must be responsible, follow instructions, and comply with attendance, punctuality, and work schedules, as repeated absenteeism
