- Job Duties:
- Workers will perform several manual tasks, second week of April approximately. repair fences around the ranch, plant and harvest oats for cattle feed. 65 cows in gestation after being bred late September, will soon deliver their calves, Calving Season begins in April through May. Spring calves are healthier than fall and winter calves. Workers perform observance for malformations and diseases at the time of calving, and also help Cows during calving if any problems may occur, workers should maintain the corrals and stables in good clean conditions to avoid any bacterias or insects that harm the cow while calve deliverance. Worker ear tag Heifers bathe and vaccinate and once they are cleaned and treated they are helped to be fed by their mothers and if any death occurs, workers will be there to work and clean as well as to inspect the reasons for such, any diseases the workers after feeding and watering. all 65 cows are put in stalls with their new born calves. Cows and heifers are cared and managed until ready to be sold during Winter months. Temporary workers perform the activities during Spring, Summer and Fall months. During Winter months there is no need to hire temporary U.S. or Nonimmigrant workers., This activity is done by the one permanent worker that transports and delivers cattle to respective customers.
