Job Duties:
General farmhands for Crawfish, work includes: repair and maintain farm equip., shop, fields, levees, water maintenance & tractor driving. Crawfishing involves manually cutting up bait, bait traps; operate motorized boats; traps are removed from the pond, crawfish are emptied into sacks, traps are re-baited and put back into pond; weigh, tag, wash, grade, bagging, boxing, and rolled into coolers/freezers until loading trucks and bring to markets. Frequent stooping and lifting requirement of 60lbs., repetitive movements and working outside in inclement weather conditions. The worker (s) may be requested but not required to work more than 8 hours per day and/or the Sabbath depending upon the conditions at the worksite, weather, and maturity of the crop. Housing provided on the premises at no cost. Tools, supplies & equipment provided at no cost. Random drug screening upon hire or if suspicions arise, paid by employer -- this is a drug free work zone. Transportation & subsistence expenses to the worksite will be paid by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract. Employees may make above hourly wage and/or receive bonuses based on work performance and experience. Must have legal authority to work within the U.S.
