- Job Duties:
- Job duties include but are not limited to: Feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, weighing, catching, and loading animals Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries Assisting in birthing, administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides Maintaining winter animal housing areas; using diggers, shovels and other equipment needed Ongoing maintenance includes cleaning, maintaining and repair of equipment, various workshop tasks as well as maintenance of fences, feedlot pens, water tanks, and feed equipment. Grind hay for cattle rations. Use of various farm and cattle specific farming equipment, which includes the operation of feed trucks, payloaders, semi – truck and tractors.
