I have a large amount of grain storage that I need help maintaining and operating, as well as driving semi trucks. Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Cut up downed trees and other debris, pull up broken fences; Clean out and clear drainage areas; Drive farm vehicle to haul off debris and to obtain inputs. Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, and storage of crops Grade and sort according to factors such as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality to ensure correct processing and usage; Operate and monitor grain conditioning tools to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards; Load and unload hoppers and containers with products using handtrucks, forklifts, suction gates, shovels, pitchforks, brooms; Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information; Place products in containers according to grade; Weigh products or estimate their weight, visually or by feel; Discard inferior or defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing; Guide products to regulate flow and to discard diseased or rotten products; Monitor and report grain moisture and grades; Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and surrounding facilities; Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team; Load semi-trucks with hopper bottom trailers without over or underfilling trailers; drive and deliver grain to market using semi-trucks. Operate fans and other equipment to condition grain and control moisture levels. Tear down and re-build wheel motors, pumps and other equipment. Must be able to speak and understand English.
