- Job Duties:
- Temporary, seasonal workers needed for crawfish and rice farm. Crawfishing duties include crawfishing in boats, catching crawfish, performing crawfishing duties in fields, manually cutting up of fish bait, baiting/checking traps, grading, washing crawfish for shipment, making repairs to traps as needed. Working in rice fields- tractor, equipment and truck driving, field prep, water maintenance, planting/harvesting of crops, manual shovel work, hoeing weeds, spot spraying, repair and maintenance of bins, equipment and fences; maintenance of field levees, roads, shop; load and unload trucks into grain bins; level grain bins as needed; general farm labor; operating farm equipment; job Involves stooping, lifting, working outside in cold and hot weather; must have 3 months experience in similar position. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may Include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season.
