- Job Duties:
- • Harvesting Crawfish (50%) Place and retrieve crawfish traps from ponds by boat or by hand. Remove crawfish from traps, sort by size/quality, wash, and pack for market or transport. • Pond & Levee Maintenance (20%) Assist in flooding and draining ponds, maintaining levees and water control structures, and removing vegetation or debris. Monitor water levels and conditions. • Equipment Operation & Maintenance (15%) Operate small boats, ATVs, and crawfish harvesting equipment. Perform basic maintenance on farm tools, motors, and other machinery. • General Farm Labor (10%) Repair fencing, clean work areas, and assist with farm infrastructure as needed. • Other Related Duties (5%) Any additional tasks required for successful crawfish production, as assigned by the employer.
