- Job Duties:
- Workers will perform general farm labor and any assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Workers will drive tractors. Workers will prepare ground for planting watermelon by disking, pulling plastic, laying plastic, and pulling weeds from the fields. Workers will install and connect all irrigation and tubing pipes. Duties also will include cleaning around farm and fields. The employer may request workers with driver’s licenses to drive other workers to/from housing and to/from grocery store once a week.

- Must be 18 years or older. Employer may conduct criminal background check. All tools, supplies and equipment will be provided at no cost to workers. Workers must have a valid Drivers License or be able to obtain a license within 30 days of hire to drive other to/from grocery store and to/from housing to worksite. The majority of the day is spent on ones feet. Workers must be able to climb, stand, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, bend (from the waist), push, pull, reach, and lift. Lifting Requirement is 5 - 60 lbs. Worker must be able to withstand working in the direct sunlight and weather conditions ranging from hot and humid weather, moderate rain and cold while performing their required job duties. Workers should come prepared wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for the environmental and working conditions described.
