- Job Duties:
- Temporary, seasonal workers needed for crawfish farm. Crawfishing duties include crawfishing in boats, catching crawfish, performing crawfishing duties in fields; manually cutting up fish bait, baiting and checking traps, grading and washing crawfish for shipment; making repairs to traps as needed; tractor, equipment and truck driving; field prep, water maintenance; manual shovel work, hoe weeds; spot spray; repair and maintain bins, equip., farm and fences; maintain field levees, roads and shop; load and unload trucks; all tools furnished, job involves frequent stooping; exposure to extreme temps; random drug screening upon hire (paid for by Employer) minimum three months experience in similar occupation. Must be able to lift and carry sufficient weight to move equipment and crawfish sacks necessary to complete assigned tasks. The Employer will rely on workers own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience; one unpaid lunch hour.
