Job Duties:

Agricultural equipment operator to operate equipment at a greenhouse and transport workers. Must have the correct type of license required by State and Federals laws, and drivers responsible for transporting workers will be required to have a valid and unexpired Federal Farm Labor Contractor or Federal Farm Labor Contractor Employee Registration with driving authorization. Will be responsible for operating the vehicles used to move products at the worksite. Must be able to safely operate a vehicle that issued to transport workers to and from work sites. Should be able to provide proof of accident-free driving record and background. Operate forklifts and equipment used to move supplies and equipment. Maintain equipment. Must be able to reach, bend and lift items weighing 50 pounds. Must be able to work outdoors in dusty/dirty conditions, at extreme heat and cold inclement weather. Must be able to listen to, understand, and follow simple instructions of supervisors and dispatcher. Must be able to work in fields where ants, snakes and poison ivy are encountered. The alternative work is truck maintenance and maintenance including the repair of irrigation, vehicles and various equipment and tools used at the nursery. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic device during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination. Se busca operador/a de maquinaria agrícola para operar equipos en un invernadero y transportar trabajadores. Debe poseer la licencia correspondiente, según lo exigen las leyes estatales y federales. Los conductores responsables del transporte de trabajadores deberán contar con un registro vigente de Contratista Federal de Mano de Obra Agrícola (FALC) o de Empleado de FALC, con autorización para conducir. Será responsable de operar los vehículos utilizados para el traslado de productos en el lugar de trabajo. Debe ser capaz de operar de forma segura un vehículo asignado para el transporte de trabajadores. Deberá presentar comprobante de un historial de manejo sin accidentes y antecedentes penales. Operará montacargas y otros equipos utilizados para el traslado de suministros y equipos. Realizará el mantenimiento de los equipos. Debe poder alcanzar, agacharse y levantar objetos de hasta 23 kg (50 libras). Debe poder trabajar al aire libre en condiciones de polvo y suciedad, así como en condiciones climáticas extremas de calor y frío. Debe poder escuchar, comprender y seguir instrucciones sencillas de los supervisores y del despachador. Debe poder trabajar en campos donde se encuentren hormigas, serpientes y hiedra venenosa. Como alternativa, se ofrece mantenimiento de camiones y otros equipos, incluyendo la reparación de sistemas de riego, vehículos y diversas herramientas y equipos utilizados en el vivero. El uso de teléfonos móviles personales u otros dispositivos electrónicos personales durante la jornada laboral está estrictamente prohibido, salvo para llamadas relacionadas con el trabajo o emergencias, y su incumplimiento podrá conllevar el despido inmediato.
