Job Duties:

Duties may include: Plant, harvest, spray chemicals, hand pick and pack produce, load on truck, and transport to warehouse/market. Wash, sort place produce in containers. Clean, paint work areas and store materials. Nonsmoking/tobacco/drug/alcohol environment. Crops include: melons, tomatoes, sweetcorn, watermelon, squash, cucumbers, strawberries, peppers, pumpkins and various other fruits and vegetables. The position also includes duties associated with the general maintenance of agricultural facilities and fields. Workers must be able to work quickly and consistently alongside fellow workers with a positive, professional, team-based, attitude and a consideration for the safety and health of fellow workers and of the consumers who will purchase and consume the fresh produce grown, harvested, packed, and shipped from the farm. It also includes making proper decisions about size and ripeness according to the prescribed standards, and maintaining the proper food safety practices. This position may require the operation of tractor-trailers, agricultural machinery, lift trucks, and transportation vehicles. This position may also require workers to function in a management capacity over other workers. Personal cell phone use is prohibited while working, except for emergencies. Violations of this policy may result in termination. A & T Farms will provide proper communication devices to use for work-related purposes. The work will require standing, walking, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds for long periods of time in indoor and outdoor environments, in all weather conditions & other related Farmworker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). Special Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age.Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 75lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of reporting to work and possess/maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer. Employees are expected to keep employer-provided vehicles clean and free of trash.
