Job Duties:
AEWR; US Workers: NY: $16.00; H2A Workers: NY: $16.00. Clean, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, discard rotten items; Position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch, remove and close full containers; Operate large farm equipment such as trucks, skid loaders and tractors for cultivating, tilling, fertilizing, planting, spraying, and harvesting potatoes; Perform wash plant duties and make seed cutting preparations; Operate potato storage conveyors and potato piler equipment; Candidate may work nights and weekends; Candidate must have or be willing to obtain a valid driver’s license within 45 days of employment; Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath; Rate of pay may be more depending on experience. Must speak and understand English. Approximate staggered entry: 9 workers to begin Feb 1 and 10 workers to begin April 7.

Special Requirements:
2 months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 45 days following hire and obtain clean driving record. A standard Class D is required. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
