Attend to live honey bee colonies to ensure optimal health, productivity, and honey yield through regular inspections, feeding, and use of nutritional supplements, pollen patties, and approved medications as needed; Locate, graft, pull, and cage queen bees; install queen cells; build nucleus colonies (nucs) and perform hive splits to manage colony growth, prevent swarming, and increase colony numbers; Uncap and extract honey from harvested combs using extraction equipment, maintaining strict cleanliness and honey quality standards; Shake, package, and prepare bees for transport or installation into new hives; Lift and move heavy boxes of bees or honey (up to 50 lbs); load and unload colonies for relocation or honey production; Perform minor and major repairs on beekeeping equipment, machinery, tools, frames, supers, and hive boxes; sort, organize, and clean all materials regularly; Drive between multiple bee yards to inspect colonies, deliver feed, and perform maintenance as required; Safely remove bees from trees, houses, or other structures when necessary, using protective gear and appropriate techniques; Conduct daily and incidental upkeep of work areas, vehicles, and apiary sites to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient operation; Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the farm yard, work yard, and employee housing; Always return tools and equipment to their proper place after use and never leave tools, supplies, or machinery outside or unattended overnight to prevent damage or loss; Care for and manage pigs of all ages, ensuring they receive proper nutrition, hydration, and care daily; Feed pigs balanced rations, check automatic feeders and waterers, and ensure clean, constant water supply; Rotate pigs between pastures or pens to manage soil health, reduce parasite loads, and allow for grass regrowth; Clean and sanitize pens, water troughs, feeders, and handling areas to maintain animal health and biosecurity standards; Monitor pigs for signs of illness, injury, or abnormal behavior and report or treat accordingly under supervision; Administer vaccinations, dewormers, antibiotics, and other treatments as directed to maintain herd health; Perform piglet care tasks, including assisting with farrowing (birthing), drying and tagging piglets and ensuring newborns receive colostrum; Castrate male piglets safely and humanely using approved methods to prevent unwanted breeding and improve meat quality; Wean piglets at appropriate ages and transition them to feed efficiently while minimizing stress; Load and unload pigs for transport or processing using safe animal handling practices; Repair and maintain fences, gates, feeders, shelters, and watering systems as needed to keep facilities secure and functional; Perform general farm maintenance including mowing, cleaning, and upkeep of driveways, barns, and pens; Follow all safety and biosecurity protocols, including boot washing, tool sanitizing, and avoiding cross-contamination between areas. Must be able to obtain a drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record OR obtain a CDL Mexican License hard card.
