Job Duties:
Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest corn and soybeans. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; or cleaning, grading, sorting, packing, and loading harvested products. May construct trellises, repair fences and farm buildings, or participate in irrigation activities. The work day may begin / end earlier or later on any given day and evening. Typical workweek is Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., with potential nights and Sundays required depending on the crops and weather.
