Job Duties:
Worker will be performing duties related to SOC 49-3041-Farm Equipment Mechanics and Service Technicians. Job duties include: rebuild and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, tillage tools, planters/seeders, hay equipment, pickups, semi’s etc. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments, as necessary. Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports to locate and diagnose malfunctions. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. Clean and lubricate parts. Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling and woodworking machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, or saws. Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. Tune or overhaul engines. Fabricate new metal parts, using drill presses, engine lathes, and other machine tools. Repair bent or torn sheet metal. Remove openers from planters/seeders and rebuild as necessary replacing bearings, blades and worn parts. Rebuild seed meters and calibrate. Rebuild hydraulic cylinders, hoses and other parts. Remove gangs from tillage equipment and rebuild with new bearings and wear parts. Disassemble and rebuild wheel motors, pumps. Operate power washer to remove dirt and oil before and after rebuilding equipment. Must speak and understand English.

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. . Lift up to 50 lbs.
