Job Duties:

Harvest vegetables, strawberries and blueberries; and, field care.Field care Clean drip emitters and microjets, remove plastic drip lines, cleaning alleys, pruning dead wood from skirts and sucker/watersprout removal, remove dead plants, and weed removal. Blueberry Harvesting - Pluck blueberries from bush by hand, place in baskets, in flats or in masters, turn fruit in at site being collected. Strawberry Harvesting - Pluck strawberries from plant by hand, place in baskets, in flats or in masters, turn fruit in at site being collected. Harvest Vegetables - move around field to picking location and pluck vegetables from plants, walk to and empty buckets into bins. Workers must follow supervisors' instructions on food safety, hand washing, use of restrooms, and handling of fruit. Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Job is outdoors and continues in all types of weather. Must be able to work long hours in direct sunlight, where weather conditions may be hot and humid, rain is possible and worker will be exposed to pollen the entire day while performing he job duties. The majority of the workday is spent on ones feet and outdoors. Hours and days of work may vary due to weather conditions. Workers may be required to submit to random drug tests at the discretion of the employer. Drug testing and background checks may be performed during the interview process. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic device during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination. All physical requirements will take place in an outdoor environment exposed to the elements for extended periods of time.
