Job Duties:

Perform duties on a farm such as maintaining and preparing machinery and equipment for the beginning of the season, apply dry or liquid fertilizer to farm fields, pump dry and liquid fertilizer from storage tanks to nurse tanks and pull type spreaders. Operate field equipment such as self-propelled sprayers and deliver dry fertilizer to spreaders. Incidental duties include: deliver seed, chemicals, water, and dry fertilizer to the farmers and field operators. Calculate blends, batch the blends, and pump blends into storage tanks. Drive trucks to haul crops, tools, or supplies. Provide general lubrication, service (check fluids), and incidental repair to farm machinery. Cleaning and maintaining the shop building and company vehicles.

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Frequent stooping is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
