- Job Duties:
- We are a custom hay baling operation (wheat/corn/hay) we travel to our customers fields and bale the crops, transport crops to storage or make stacks in the fields in assigned location. We sort bales, load trucks, move piles and transport bales to our customers. We have late model machinery such as John Deere and Fendt, JCB, Kubota, New Holland and Fiat. We bale locally within a 150 mile radius. Our job sites are from the southern eastern shore of Virginia into Maryland's eastern shore area. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements, be able to handle working in high humidity, clean work areas, direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting, load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities, load and unload materials and commodities, load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, maintain grounds and landscaping, maintain inventory, operate self propelled machinery, participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment, use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools, work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, bailers and other hay equipment, dirt moving equipment, forklift, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, self propelled machinery, semi trucks, skid steers, straight frame trucks, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors, rakes; shredders. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, grain sorghum, hay, wheat. Speak and understand english. Approximate staggered entry: 2 workers to begin Feb 15, 3 workers to begin March 31, and 3 workers to begin April 15.
