Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers and to stack hay; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate poly pipe and flood irrigation equipment such as installing and maintaining levees and gates, servicing pumping plants; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery such as dozer, excavator, swather, rake, baler tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as hay, soybeans, rice; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Attend to live farm animals including cattle such as working and processing; Repair, maintain, fashion, service farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Attach implements using hand tools; Speak and understand English. Approximate staggered entry: 1 worker to begin Feb 15 and 1 worker to begin May 1.

- Special Requirements:
- Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
