Job Duties:

Workers will perform daily maintenance as well as repairs and upkeep of farm machinery, workshops, barns, grain storage bins, levees, and roadways. Tasks include mowing grass, raking, digging ditches, and clearing away debris, trash, brush, and weeds, among other duties. Workers will use hand tools such as shovels, sprayers, hoses, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Workers will harvest crawfish, prepare ponds, maintain water levels, walk along levees, and making repairs as necessary.Workers will build and repair traps is also part of the job. Workers will cut fish bait, set bait, check, and re-bait crawfish traps, which involves frequent bending and lifting of traps from the pond. Workers will help maintain fish feeder, seine fish and deliver fish. Operating both push and motorized crawfish boats is required. Finally, grading, washing, and packaging crawfish for shipment, as well as loading and unloading trucks.
